The goal of the financial support programme aws License.IP is the efficient support of grant recipients by the Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH (aws). Thereby, the successful licencing of the technology of third parties, preferably from academic and extramural institutes, is funded in order to promote their own technological innovation strategy and to shorten the “time-to-market” of new in-house developments.

The target group of the financial support programme are small and medium-sized companies, which want to licence technologies of external technology providers.

Projects that can be funded
There is funding for the search of suitable technologies, which fulfil the company’s specific technical needs, regarding the licensing of patents or rather know-how of these technologies as well as license fees.
There is a focus on the degree of innovation of the license, the technical chances of implementation and the market potential of the overall project.
