The exhibition The Orange Age lets us review a dynamic and highly creative era of the 20th century by means of selected objects and exhibits. Audio and TV devices, communication appliances and office machines show how near (many objects still seem very familiar) and at the same time how far away (the analog things have for all disappeared) it seems – the time so important for the media and the design development. The 1970s are as popular as hardly any other past decade.
All objects come from the private archive of Heinz M. Fischer, Head of the Departments Media & Design of FH Joanneum. He owns one of the most comprehensive collections of media in Austria.
