Will trees store electricity in the future? Will we eat CO2 and store it in buildings? Will our behavior change faster than the climate? Students from TU Graz and FH Joanneum will visualize current research findings on eight utopias of a green future as part of Design Month Graz and present them on 23 May.

“Green Utopia” outlines a world that is sustainable and climate-friendly. The interdisciplinary project by Green Tech Valley together with Creative Industries Styria, Holzcluster Steiermark, TU Graz and the Institute for Design and Communication at FH Joanneum aims to show how current research contributes to great solutions – Made in Green Tech Valley.

Based on current research as well as challenges & opportunities of climate protection, circular economy & green transformation, 8 green utopias will be developed and presented by student teams. Creative Industries Styria’s Design Month and the expertise of Green Tech Valley are working with partners to think outside the box and provide important impetus for the further development of the ecosystem at the location. This interdisciplinary and cross-cluster collaboration between universities, universities of applied sciences and the Styrian cluster organizations will be continued with Green Utopia.
