The “Information Design” (Bachelor) degree programme in Graz is seeking a lecturer for “Generative Design 2” under reference number KN 610 25 008.

Applicants are sought who, within the framework of the course “Generative Design 2” in the fourth semester of the Bachelor’s degree in Information Design, can convey the creative and technical possibilities of generative design with Processing, p5.js, or similar.

A relevant education as well as professional experience in the field of creative coding and digital design with code are required. Experience in higher education teaching as well as in the conception and implementation of courses is an advantage.

The aim of the course is to provide students with in-depth insights into concepts and methods of generative work. Possible thematic focuses may include:

• programming-based design with Processing, p5.js or comparable software
• development of algorithmic and interactive systems
• use of generative methods for visual, dynamic, or data-driven design projects

Extent: 4 contact hours per week, 1 lecture hour, 1 exercise hour in 3 groups
