FIPE architects was founded in 2016 by Markus Fischer and Michael Petar. The idea to create their own architecture studio was sparked while working together on a project as students at the Graz University of Technology. The architects, whose studio is located in the old town of Graz, define their work as emotional and authentic. FIPE’s professional approach is to understand their surrounding environment in order to enable dignified reconstructions, new buildings and transformations of architecture.
FIPE architects recently won the 1st prize in a Europe-wide competition to plan an extension building to the Erlebnistherme Fügen in Zillertal, a thermal spa complex in Tyrol. Other projects include the hair salon Zeitgeist in Leibnitz, the Freigeist Burger restaurant in Brauquartier in Graz, a residential compound on Koloniegasse in Graz and “1010 Wien”, an office building in Vienna’s 1st district.
