On the initiative of Tischlerei Prödl, Designforum Steiermark is showcasing a selection of the most iconic pieces from CondeHouse from October 12 to 26, 2024. These pieces consciously oppose fleeting design trends, instead highlighting the timeless beauty of natural wood grain. The opening took place on Friday, October 11, and also served as the kick-off for Creative Night Graz.
After the welcome speech by Thomas Hinrichsen, CEO of CondeHouse Europe, a Sakura dance was performed by Japanese artist Chihoco Yanagi, and an introduction to traditional Japanese calligraphy as well as an exploration of sake art were offered.
Lifestyle and Living Culture, Crafted in Japan
With a deep understanding of materials, Japanese aesthetics, and craftsmanship, CondeHouse has been producing durable furniture for over half a century. These pieces honor and celebrate nature without taking it for granted. Timeless design, local production, and artisanal know-how ensure that vibrant materials find their full expression in chairs and tables that last a lifetime and are at home all over the world. Wherever they go, they always carry the essence of Hokkaido within them.
