The Institute of Industrial Design at FH JOANNEUM, led by Prof. Thomas Feichtner, addresses both concrete and speculative future scenarios in environment and society. This year’s Industrial Design Show offers insights into the students’ design process and presents new design strategies for intelligent objects and user experiences with social and ecological relevance. For exactly 30 years, the Institute of Industrial Design has made a significant contribution to the development and professionalisation of design in Austria. It is considered a leader in design education and is strongly connected internationally. Industrial Design graduates from Graz actively shape our future and can be found in key positions in business, education, and the arts.

The Industrial Design Show of FH JOANNEUM Graz at the Bene & Zumtobel showroom in Grabenstraße, Graz, presents the wide-ranging work of students from the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Industrial Design and showcases the broad scope of the training — from the first design exercises through to final projects from both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Many of the designs on display were created in cooperation with international companies such as Bora and Head.
