… Julia Cepp, born in Graz in 1974; 2000 graduates from the College for Fashion in Michelbeuern; studies with Raf Simons at the Department of Fashion at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna; since 2001 creates her own designs under the label mija t. rosa;

2004 Rondo/Nokia Fashion-Award for her M.A. line “Angels.”

“My fashion line concentrates on female images which stand for self-determination, freedom of action and their social barriers. My work is particularly inspired by movie characters, whereby I refer to the actor as well as to the part.”

mija t. rosa designs …
… dresses for the movie of life. Her work focuses on sustainability instead of short-lived pieces – further developing existing pieces, adding new to proven pieces, selecting new materials. In this context mija t. rosa also applies recycling technologies. Every design is developed on the basis of prototypes tested in every-day life. She herself sets the benchmark. Every concept of a fashion line is accompanied by a story board-like album with inspiration material and little sketches. The documentation of the completed line in form of photos and presentations, which are genre-overlapping staged as dancing performances, form the art of the creation and are developed as a common vision with the photographer and choreographer, respectively.

Since 2004 the mamamija-children`s line exists, with hooded shirts from recycled materials as well as the cosy mamamija trousers from velvet.
