For the first time the cultural institutions of MuseumsQuartier Vienna will share a common topic - The MQ Summer of Fashion. The result is a variety of shows, exhibitions, workshops, performances, discussion panels, presentations and guided tours on the correlation of fashion and art.

The grand opening will take place on the 14th of June. Till the final event with the MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK from 12th to 16th of September the visitors will have time to dip into a rich program. A catwalk designed by PPAG architects will link the squares of the MuseumsQuartier as a connecting architectural structure for the cultural program.

On the 14th of June the series of events start with the openings of the exhibition "Reflecting Fashion" at mumok and "TECHNOSENSUAL.where fashion meets technology at freiraum quartier21 INTERNATIONAL, with a backstage fashion party at mumok Hofstallungen. On the 15th a fashion show of the graduate classes of the fashion college Herbststraße will be presented on the main square of MQ. The opening weekend will close with the performance "Benoit Maubrey. Audio Ballerinas" displaying electro-acoustic dresses in cooperation with TONSPUR for public space.
