Budapest Design Week opens with the exhibition COULEUR LOCALE - The Colours of Europe in Objects presenting international design trends and trying to answer the question whether it makes sense to talk about national character in a globalized world.
Design objects from close to thirty countries represent the work of designers from the past three years.

This year's special guests come from Vienna - the renowned design team of WALKING-CHAIR will not only hold the keynote speech at Moholy-Nagy Univeristy of Art and Design on Oct 7, but also present their project BOTTLE BOY SHOW in the exhibition "The blue…is green".

Budapest Design Week offers a rich programme of workshops, open studios, design tours and fairs, the Kiskakas Animation Film Festival and numerous exhibitions, which will be open till the end of October.
