Cycling Affairs – Ideas for bicycles and cities

Submissions until April 15th, 2013 at cycling.departure.at

Creative people and bicycle fans are invited to share their ideas for urban bicycling. Innovative solutions from the areas of design, fashion and multimedia and architecture are sought with the aim to improve the quality of bicycling in cities.

Ideas for the following topics are wanted:
• Safety and comfort

• Style and culture

• Space and city

• Service and dialogue

• People and paths

• Open and free

Creative ideas for safety and comfort, for confidently stylish bicycling or for bicycle-friendly urban planning are desired. Also bicycle-specific services such as navigation apps or ideas for the networking among cyclist can be submitted.

Cycling Affairs jury prizes:

1st place: € 7.000, 2nd place: € 5.000, 3rd place: 2.500

Voting by the audience from April 22nd until May 4th

Audience award remunerated with 3.000 Euro

Partner award „Einkaufen mit dem Rad“ with SPAR Austria remunerated with € 4.000

Material prizes: speed dates and talks with international bicycle experts at Velo-City Vienna
