"more dense, more pleasant to live in and green - ideas for Graz": the subtitle debates on how to define various aspects of urban developement. In the last two years the Institute for Architectural Typologies at the University of Technology, Graz, has examined the ecologic and economic challenges in the fields of urban density, varieties in usability and the design of urban open space.

The students' projects face up to the key questions of urban development: What can the compression of town centres look like without abandoning green space. What are the alternatives to family houses? What will the environment look like if streets are not designed for cars but for people?
The exhibition presents results and proposals how to deal with the topic in future, using settings of the city of Graz as examples.
