What is Architecture Export?
Architecture Export is a package of measures aiming at making Styrian architecture better known on the international level. All the necessary conditions are in place because Styrian architecture has already enjoyed considerable success in an international context in the past. Yet what we need in addition to this is a clear framework of conditions and structures to successfully implement this long-term work and raise the profile of Styrian architecture in the international context.

Why “export“?
Planning services are an economic factor, just as the production of goods. The global market offers various opportunities for the successful export of architectural services. This also has a positive impact on the local employment market. Because exports create work. Today the architecture firms are already exporting 3.5% of their planning services. This corresponds to an approximate turnover of 18 million euros. It may be assumed that this export share will further rise in the future.

What does the package of measures comprise?

Furtherances:
In the frame of Architecture Export the participation in international architectural competitions are supported financially.

Qualification:
We aim at communicating the education and qualification offers of the partners of Architecture Export. These are the following: Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG), Creative Industries Styria (CIS), AWO –Außenwirtschaft Österreich /Foreign Trade Austria, Chamber of Architects and Consulting Engineers for Styria and Carinthia, ICS – Internationalization Center Styria (ICS) as well as Graz University of Technology.

Which requirements have to be met in order to make use of any offers provided by the package of measures “Architecture Export”?
Interested companies must be both headquartered in Styria and architects registered with either the Chamber of Architects and Consulting Engineers for Styria and Carinthia or the Styrian Chamber of Commerce. Moreover, they must be registered in the in the category “Architecture” of the Creative Industries Styria database.
